About CPP Vacancy Announcements
Competitive Placement Plan (CPP) vacancy announcements are used to assign employees to positions with higher promotion potential. Employees who have lower promotion potential than the position advertised are eligible to apply.
Applicants must meet basic eligibility requirements for the position, usually one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade.
