Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Diversity briefings initiative
 
The agency wide Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Diversity briefings initiative will take place at Headquarters.  These briefings are designed to increase awareness and generate a common approach and philosophy.  The overarching objectives of the initiative are to Move Toward a dispute Prevention Way of Thinking, promote diversity and a high performing work culture, and champion the One NASA initiative.  The ADR briefing is a 4-hour workshop while the Diversity briefing is 2 full days.  Participants will have a choice of sessions to select from.

OBJECTIVES:

  • To raise awareness and understanding among NASA management, and employees about the procedures, and benefits of ADR.

  • To implement and institutionalize an ADR program consistent with the ONE NASA Initiative, which allows employees to proactively address and resolve EEO concerns.

  • To reduce the number of EEO complaints, investigations hearings, and lawsuits filed against the Agency.
