Supervisors and Mentors
Supervisors, we believe you should encourage and actively support your employees' participation in Leadership Alchemy because they've demonstrated a commitment to leadership and deserve to enhance their leadership skills for the benefit of both themselves and the organization.
Mentors serve as role models and
counselors. Mentors will periodically meet with those
Goddard employees they are guiding for leadership conversations.
They can offer another perspective, while serving in
their role model and counselor capacities. Mentors help
employees develop Leadership Action Plans and can provide
access to a wider network of people who can support an
employee's leadership journey. Most participants are
matched with a mentor they do not know – ordinarily
someone from another part of the organization who can
offer a diverse perspective. Mentors will be at either
an equivalent or higher organizational level than the
employees they guide. Many are supervisors and some are
past Leadership Alchemy graduates.
